I am trying to train our 7 month old to pads too. My little girl would hold both potty and wee for hours after eating and drinking too. She would willing go on the carpet right away though.
I don't have any advice, because we are still trying too. We have only had her a week and a day. She is crate and lap trained. LOL It doesn't really matter though, she has no schedule at all. She can go wee 3 times in one hour and then not do a thing for 6 hours.
I hope your dog is a quicker learner. One thing for sure, she is learning that she gets a treat when she does it on the pad. You have to be there for that though, so locking her in the bathroom with a pad will not encourage her to do it for a treat.
