Default Saved by the cat

I took my 7 month old puppy outside today for a little leash training. I was just walking her in our driveway when I notice our 8 year old momma kitty stalking something about 15 feet away in a small 2 inch high patch of clover near the drive way. I immediately saw a snake with mouth wide open ready to strike. Luckily the cat was smart enough to avoid the snake but I was thankful she alerted me to it's presence. I immediately put my baby up and got the shovel. I kill the snake, a 18" copperhead. He was sure ready to fight.

Anyway, here in Texas is was 82 degrees today and with this warmer weather of course the snakes will be coming out. Just a warning for those of you that let your babies out in a fenced area or off lead, BEWARE OF SNAKES.
