I kept Apple in a 4' X 10' area (tile floor) w/several puddle pads down...When she would wake up, I wouldn't let her out of the area, until she had wet/or whatever lol...Then, after playing or eating, I'd put her back in the area, and then make a big fuss of her when she did her pee pees...She's 4 1/2 months old, and really doing well...Now, I've added puddle pads in the foyer (w/more tile floor), and she has a choice...When she used to go on the carpet, I made a HUGE ruckus about it...Of course, no hitting, etc., but really let her know I was ticked off...But, having said all that, yours is a little older and may take some extra time getting him to co-operate...Wishing you much success, Maggie & Apple
