The surgeon did an adjustment on Michelle's shunt on Friday. On Saturday the swelling had gone down a tiny bit. The doctor decided to send Michelle home on Saturday and just have her come back the this Friday for another adjustment. They just want to take it slow with the adjustments. Michelle was able to go to church on Sunday and she was really happy about that.

Well, it seems that Michelle can't seem to get a break. Last night David had to take Michelle to the Tomball Hospital ER. Michelle was having severe abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea. The doctors did a cat scan and it showed that Michelle's bowels were blocked with infection and inflammation. It also showed some big air pockets. The doctor has admitted Michelle and she is now on strong antibiotics and they have ordered an upper G.I. The sad part is that when Michelle was in Ben Taub hospital she kept telling the doctors that something was wrong because she was not able to have a normal bowel movement and the doctors really did nothing about it. They just kept giving her stuff to make her go but it never did work, now we know why, she had a blockage.

Michelle's head is about the same. The swelling has gone down a little, which is good but it is still not at the right level. The good news is that the pain in her head is not that severe, but the swelling just makes her feel uncomfortable. Michelle likes this hospital so much more than Ben Taub. She has private room and she is close to home now. Hopefully she won't be in there a long time. Michelle said these doctors and nurses are freaking out over Michelle's head and how the shunt is in her head. None of them had ever seen anything like that. Michelle said it was interesting seeing how she is all 'wired up' on the cat scan.

Michelle is still waiting to get her emergency medicare. The doctors in this hospital know she has applied for the medicare and by them admitting her it might help speed up the progress.

Thanks you all so much for your continued prayers and well wishes. If we could just get Michelle over these last few hurdles I think she will be fine. Hugs to all.
