I know what you mean. It is hard to want to play with them and enjoy them when they want to be so rough on biting and growling at you. Another suggestion for you that we are doing with Buddy which is what the lady at the training class said. You need to walk them 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. We try to do this and sometimes walk him 3 times too. We have also just bought yesterday this thing that you put outside in the ground and you get this line thing that you connect to their harness and to this thing so they can run and play in that area. I think my husband got a 10 ft one. We might end up getting a bigger one. They have so much energy I thought when it is really pretty outside I would try this with him and staying outside watching him. That way maybe he can get some energy out and enjoy being outside instead of cooped up in the house. This idea was mine so we will see how that goes. I am sure you will absolutely love the training class. Ours is an hour long and it goes by so fast. Today is our 5th class. It really does make a difference too. I added you on my friend thing so maybe you can add me and we can keep in touch on how things are going and give encouragement to each other. We sure can use it.
