That is not a real big temperature drop so far. I have found that in the mornings the temperature is often lower because of low blood sugar. Usually if the temperature drops to 99 or below and stays down, labor will begin within 12 to 24 hours. On the other hand, I have had many females go into labor when their temperature was 100 so you can't just go by the temperature.

I recommend you give your female Nutri-cal if she is not eating well. What type of food does she normally eat? You might try a little canned Pedigree Lamb and Rice puppy food or canned Pedigree chopped chicken.

Some of the first indications of labor will be your female trying to hide under the bed or couch. Then the digging will begin and the restlessness. Often they will potty a lot too as the contractions begin.
