I used to live in a no pet apartment when I rescued my stray cat from the streets. I knew it was a no-pet apartment but I was prepared to move if it came down to that. There was no way I was going to give her up when I nursed her back to health and feel absolutely in love with her.
I felt so strongly that I had started looking for another apartment but fortunately the manager was a cool person. I lost my security deposit when I moved out but I still have my cat. That was 10 yrs ago.
With all of the apartments that are willing to accept pets for an additional fee, there is no way no one should ever have to choose a place to live over their pets.
