His waterbowl is a sage ceramic pudding dish, no designs of any sort just solid sage and we put it on the carpet for him so there is no scraping of the bowl or his nails. His food dish is solid white, I've even tried putting it on a gripper pad so that it doesn't move, still doesn't help.
