I've been using it on my little Haylie Mae for over a year, 1 to 2 times a week and her teeth are in great shape. Her Vet looked at her teeth and said they looked great!!! I agree about just doing it 1 to 2 times a week and brushing with doggie toothpaste the other days.
Maybe your doing it to often? It works well for Haylie Mae, We love it.
