I had a friend up in New York who bred Golden Retrievers and it happened to her a couple of times. She had a neutered male who was a rescue who was able to tie with one of their females twice. Funny thing was that this particular female was very difficult for them to breed as she would not let any strange male dogs near her when she was sent to be bred. They always had to use AI with her. I guess she only liked her buddy. Or maybe she believed in practicing safe sex?
