We are considering a containment system for Penny to try some of the potty training methods mentioned here. We both have bad backs, we will likely want to take what we buy with us when we travel and we need something Penny won't mess up with her claws.

We really like the WARE mesh pen, but there is also the the plastic pet yard thing and then the wire x pens. I am concerned about the metal being toxic. The most economical ones are zinc and I don't know about dogs, but birds die from zinc poisoning when they lick or chew zinc bells or items.

Does anyone have a mesh containment and do their little claws rip it?
