I probably would if I had one or two, but, I have 4 inside and they all eat out of the same bowl. My little one is going to be 9 mos tomorrow and barely over 2 lbs. so, I mostly keep it down so she can get kibbles when she wants, as she needs the food. If I could just keep my little chunky monkey out of it, I would leave it down all night
