Or 6 months in our case. Our rescue has been in our house for 6 months and we were told she nipped at the children and was surrendered by the owners. We saw very little nipping the first few months (only adults that moved too fast around her). The past month we are now dealing with it in full force. At least she has not tried ever to bite children.
