You can make a bleach/water solution (I think it was something like 1/2 cup to 1 gallon.. you might google this to verify) and step in it/soak the bottom of your shoes before you come in the house.
While it's definitely a possibility (it happened to us!), it's probably not very likely so don't lose any sleep over it! Just take some simple precautions and I'm sure that Chloe will be fine!
