Buttons was going through the same thing a week or so ago. I took him to the vet, he is on Prednisone for a month and 1/2 benadryl (sp) 2 x's a day. In this last week he has almost completely stopped itching. He has allergies but we don't know what yet. The vet also gave me epi-sooth shampoo and it seems to have helped. I hope your baby feels better soon
