I have a maltese and a yorkie. 5 yr and 9 mos. If the 2 small dogs can fit in one travel bag ( and my dogs can) the airlines will allow you to put them both in the same bag and charge you for one dog. otherwise you have to travel with 2 people each carrying one dog.
So if I am traveling alone by air with now owning 2 dogs I leave either one at home or both at home. Mainly because airlines are charging well over $150 per dog PER segment. United charges $185 per dog per segment. Thats $370 round trip PER DOG!!!! Its just not worth that kind of money! I have a good doggie sitter they have a good time there and are well taken care of. OR if we are driving we definately take them with us. That has been the deal for our household. |
