Well.. if your using it for ID purposes, then maybe it might take him some getting use to. Maybe you can try a different material... Or even attach his tags to a harness and see if he does better with that. However, I would not be attaching his leash to his collar for walks. Its best to use a harness so that it's not pulling at his neck. These little guys are so small, that its a fragile area. Hope this helps
