Piper did this nursing behavior with her stuff dog until she was about 8 months old. I do know that Piper was weaned at 6 weeks and separeted from her mother with her litter mates. The breeder lost one of her dogs after birth and she used Piper's mother to nurse the babies. Poor Piper and her sisters became orphans.
