Wow, that's a lot for one little girl to handle - surgery and 8 babies! That's a HUGE litter. : )

While pregnant and nursing, we feed our mommies puppy food mixed with puppy milk replacer. We make it very warm and they seem to gobble it right up. : )

Don't know if that helps in your situation. You could try the milk replacer on it's own and see if she'll take it.

Nutrical is also a great suggestion while she's not eating too much.
