If that doesn't work, I've heard of spray collars. I think they spray water or something when the dog barks but I've never used though.

We've tried loud clickers and noisy things in the past and he just wants to play with them

We have just been putting him in time out (baby gate wedged in a corner), but he's still having problems.
He got so upset the other day he threw up

I will not ever use a spray collar, so that's out of the question.
