I can't believe that you story is so similar to ours! We got our little Rowdy (7 1/2 months now) for my husband who is also unexpectedly disability retired. My sweet husband was so down in the dumps for such a long time being essentially confined to the house due to illness. So along comes Rowdy, now my hubby looks forward to each and every day and no matter how badly he feels, he looks forward to seeing Rowdy. Rowdy also gives my husband something to do everyday and something to look forward to when he gets up. I KNOW it has added years to his life.

Here's another funny parallel - Rowdy's name was ALOMST Scooter!!! Can you believe that! I just know that you will really enjoy Scooter - and he will be the best medicine ever for your hubby.
