Sadly, I also know of a yorkie that drowned. The family had a pool for eleven years, and the yorkie never showed any interest in swimming. Then one day, they discovered the poor doggie in the pool.
That being said, I have a little life jacket for Thor, and I'm definitely going to take him to the beach and see how he likes it.
