Because Yorkies are 36 times more likely to have liver shunt than all other breeds combined, in my opinion, any Yorkie with high liver enzymes should be bile acids tested. If there would be a problem, the anesthetic protocol and pain management protocol would be altered. I would bile acids test this pup regardless of whether the ALT is up again just in case.
