What I have always heard, is their hair is like human hair. We lose hair, and they lose hair. They are said to be non-shedding, hypo-allergenic because they do not have an undercoat that sheds off. But yes it is 100% normal for your baby to be noticeably shedding while in coat transition. And as an adult, just not as obvious then.
