I'm thinking what attracts a lot of (naive) people to the Yorkie breed is their small size. Face it--people love puppies--and since Yorkies typically do not get much bigger -- it's their way of making sure they have a "forever puppy". My little sister got a puppy about three years ago, and now all she talks about is how much she misses when her dog was a "puppy and little and small" ...
Anyway, after all that, it's definitely sort of seen as a "norm" to have a really small Yorkie. And just not as appealing to most people to have a "big yorkie".
It's kind of sad...it's almost the same concept when it comes to people. Being "overweight" or whatever compared to being "the right weight.."
People are so dumb sometimes lol. I dont think this lady really realized what she was saying sounded stuck up (thats what I got from it) .. |
