I'm new here and I have enjoyed reading all the info everyone has posted. I was looking for info that would maybe help me with my future addition to my already established pet family. I have 4 parrots and a male maltese. All of which are very well behaved and house-trained. Yes, even the parrots. I am rescuing a 3 yo female yorkie who is NOT house-trained. I'm reading here that yorkies are known to be very difficult to train, in this area. I guess I'm asking, if anyone out there has adopted an older yorkie and was successful in house-training them? I'm looking forward to having her here with me and my babies (feather and fur) but I need to know, if I have a quicksand of a chance on making a lady out of her (modestly speaking). All suggestions will be gratefully accepted.
