I always check the "Pets for sale" section of the Sunday paper for Yorkies and maltese...........old habits are hard to break! But I came across this ad and about fell out of my chair!

I was in disgust and had to laugh at the same time. I know there will be a lot of calls to them and they will most likely sell their pups to unsuspecting and uninformed people but still........it irritates me a bit to see such ads. The ad read:

Yorkies AKC Hard to Find XXX Teenies!!!
3 mos. old. M, 1 1/2 lbs; F, 1 lb. 1 oz. Extreme Teaspoons. M should be under 3 lbs. fully grown, $3,000; F under 2 1/2 lbs. fully grown, $5,000. Short legs, Coby body, adorable baby doll faces. Will be ready for Valentines Day. Also 1 M brother 2 1/2 lbs., $900. Absolutely adorbable. Looks like a little wind up toys. Shown by appt. only. (then their ph. number)

Doesn't say much about the background, pedigree, or health guarantees. (shaking my head)
