Default Feeding Only Twice A Day

My 3.7 pound Charlie is 6.5 months old. He eats three times a day but he only eats about 10 kibbles in the morning, 20 in the afternoon and about 40 at night (he runs around the most after I get home from work between lunch and dinner). I'd love to start feeding him twice a day since it'll be easier on my schedule with work. When can I do that? And with him eating so little in the morning - how do I ever transition into feeding three times a day?

Do I feed more if I feed twice a day or less?
