mine came out fairly soft when they were fresh, my baby has sore teeth so I was worried about that as well I only kept them in the oven for 10 mins so they were softer. If you would add non stick to the pan they would prolly come out softer too! Though he is also only 3 lbs so I made them a lot smaller.
