Well its great that he does have a pending adoption because he is adorable, biewer or not.
I think shelters do try to come up with a more specific breed label to get more people interested in the dogs up for adoption. I've worked with shelters for years and back when i first started most dogs were labeled terrier mixes or lab mixes. Now people are more aware of different breeds and shelters are using this to get more dogs adopted. I think its great as long as the dog and adopting parents are happy.
