Lol..I don't really know how to pick either. I just applied to a few rescues and got some really rude response as well. I finally manage to talk to one nice lady who runs a rescue but it wasn't through applying for a dog. It just so happens that I saw her email on petfinder and wrote to her to ask more about fostering and etc.
