and because there seem to be a group of people who have posted here that are interested in the requirements for service dogs, I am happy to say that there is no requirement that service dogs be completely and totally potty trained...
In fact, a puppy from the moment of birth can be a service dog "in training" with all the rights, privileges and recognition as a fully trained service dog. The training for a service animal can be life long...in fact they love to learn more and more once they have gotten a taste of learning.
