I tried this too. Problem is if my feet are not down there and I happen to put them up on the couch then she gets up. I wish I could train her to go to her own bed. My grandma has a Pomeranian and she just says "go lay down rocky" and he goes right to his bed. Wish I could train coco to do the same.
Maybe my first mistake was letting her be able to climb up on the couch. I know a lot of peope that don't let their animals on their furniture.
