I have PetPlan insurance. It will cover all major problems as long as it is not diagnosed prior to getting the insurance. So, if a dog had a liver shunt and you took out the insurance before it was diagnosed, then the insurance will cover the surgery. It does cover hereditary problems if they have not been diagnosed with it. It does not cover vaccinations or regular check up.

Different plans cover different things, so you just need to decide what you want coverage on and then find a plan that will fit it.
