Make sure you don't repeat the dog's name whenever you call him
That is a sure fire way to avoid name desensitization
I love it when I go to someone's house or I'm at a park and you hear
the dog's name again and again
over and over and the dog is like .... ho-hum
doing whatever he was doing before
This is a death knell to training because they will never listen to you
When ever you call a puppy
make sure they come to you ... carry something they like
try not to call them when they are into something very interesting
because you don't want to ever become the voice of Charlie Brown's teacher to your pup ...
Bwaaah.... Bwaaah .... Bwaaahhh
