I have the same problem when we go out. Millie is 8 pounds.

We went to the local pet store and a woman commented on how big she was. Really? 7-10 pounds is the standard for her size. I think 'teacups' are adorable but I'd be scared I'd hurt one.

My groomer was shocked at her size and she specializes in yorkies. It wasn't that she was big but that someone finally got a standard sized dog. She asked me the breeders number cause she'd been looking for a larger yorkie. She said all she'd been getting for the longest time were 'teacups' and she'd had a few people ask if she knew anyone who was breeding the larger size. She wanted to know when the standard had suddenly become the 'larger' sized? Like someone wanted to supersize their order.
