Hello all! After reading this thread I do not feel so alone. It is nice to hear other peoples stories. Besides Bailey I also have a havanese that I am potty training. Bailey has good days and will even go weeks without an accident and then there are the days she goes out and then comes in and pees on the floor. Shelby my havanese is 4 months and does the best she can being still kinda young. If we stay on top of taking her out she will go outside. They both wake me up during the night when they need to go out. Bailey whines at the foot of my bed and Shelby showers me with kisses. I do have to agree with the others...they know how dang cute they are and they know how to use it...lol. One thing that works well for me is that I give them a treat or a tiny, tiny lick of the nutri-cal when they go potty. Bailey knows she only gets one if she goes potty. Usually she sits pretty and waits for her treat but if she did not go she runs to another room as is if this will make it so mommy does not know. I let her sleep in my bed at night but if I take them out at night and she does not go potty she knows she has to go in her kennel. When she does not go...she runs right to the kennel. I have to say it is kinda cute. I also find that she loves me to be happy that she goes potty by giving lots of luv and praise. I do not say anything when they have accidents I just mumble under my breath so she can hear my tone. You can tell by the look on her face she knows momma is disappointed and she sneaks away and sulks. But I never yell at her. I do say, "potty outside" and I also say it everytime they go outside. So lets see how day 1 goes...lol.
