I've never smelt any other brand, but I've heard they smell SO BAD. I read a post about someone who bought them from a pet store or somewhere, walked into the room and thought her dog pooed somewhere.

I don't even wanna think about what the other ones smell like. But yes, AMD's do have a slight smell, but nothing that bothers me.
