I am so bummed right now, I have been sick the last three days and we are going to Wabasha this weekend. They have their "Grumpy Old Men" festival this weekend with a pet parade etc. I will spend all my time in the room as I don't feel like being in the cold and crowds and I can't take my Yorkie to put in the parade. Wabasha is where the Gumpy Old Men movies were filmed. We go there off and on so my hubby can take photos of the eagles on the river.
BTW like I said I got the purse at a thrift store otherwise I'm sure I'd have paid ALOT more. I don't think they knew who the maker was as they tend to put higher prices on big name items when they come in. The purse was brand new and $3.99. |

Anyone know anything about Maragret Smith handbags? I know she made floral handbags for over 50 years and closed her shop in Maine in May of 2008 but I can't find out much more than that. I bought a brand new Maragret Smith handbag yesterday, it is gray wool. I'm trying to find out about how much it's worth. I know I got a deal on it at the thrift store for $3.99! I think it was one of those deals where someone didn't like it or know the value of it and just gave it away. It was probably a Christmas gift they didn't like."
I since have found her vintage clothes and purses on eBay. But not the new purse I got. I just had a gut feeling when I picked it up to buy it, that is was a deal. I'm glad I did. |
