I hate to say this but I work in retail and we have a store credit card. If you have no credit and apply and get denied your credit score gets hit. So by applying for store credit cards its making it worse for your credit score because you started at none and now there deducting points for every hit. Even people with good credit get a hit each time they apply but in the end if they pay it off they get way more points. We give a 10% discount to people who apply even if they get denied but honestly the 10% isnt worth the hit. So if I were you I'd try and get one from my bank thats how I started my credit, but I'd def stop applying for other CC's.
