At about 6 months old puppies can usually go for the spay and at the same time they will check and remove any puppy teeth. My Pebbles had 2 removed when she was 6 month old and spayed. Bogey who was a little under 2 and from a shelter had 1 retained tooth and he had HORRIBLE breath. As soon as his baby tooth was removed during his neuter the breath problem was resolved.
