 Need Help, Ringworm & kids
Out of the blue my 12 yr old daughter has ringworm! About 10 days ago she got what looked like a mosquito bite . Then she got another . I did not know what this was because it was so small. She had gotten this many years ago when she started kindergarten! A few days ago it got a little bigger and I instantly remembered what this was. Well I got her antifungal medication. My question could she have gotten this from the puppy. I dont see anything like ringworm on the puppy but he does have such a bad case of dandruff. I think it looks too bad to actually be dandruff! The worst is on the right side of his head. It looks scaly and there is deffinately less hair on that area.
I read that antibiotics for pets with ringworm can be costly and have to be given up to 6 weeks! Since this is very contagious I dont know if he will get it. He was on antibiotics for almost 3 weeks. So I'm wondering if that has helped his imune system fight off any possibility of catching ringworm?
