I am fortunate that my inlaws, although they don't like dogs, they do make every effort to make us feel welcome.
If bringing the dog raises issue with your inlaws - then its best to leave your baby at home. Please don't let it get between you and your husband or your husband's family. Agree to disagree. Its only for a few hours once in a while.
