Where in Texas do you live? Have you talked to any show people near you? IMO, the best way to get started is to do your homework on the dogs you like. Go to shows and educate your "eye". When you find the type of yorkie that you like best find out what lines they came from. Contact that breeder and try to perhaps get a show prospect from them. You will be way ahead of the game if you start with a show prospect and finish the dog before you even think about breeding. If you buy from someone reputable, they will help to mentor you and will want you to succeed because you have their kennel name out there in the ring. Best wishes for your success.
