Mine don't bark when I leave. They just sit and look at me pathetically. We have a routine. Generally, I have a gate at the steps so they can't ever go upstairs unless I allow them to go with me and then they can only be on my bed--This is mainly because Mayzie is too curious. So they know when I take the gate off the steps and move it to the hallway and lock the other gate--thus keeping them in the kitchen-they know I am going away. This is when they just sit down and look at me. I then say Bye bye and that's it. I think they generally lay on their bed when I am not here because that is where they come from when they see me at the door. Then........they go balistic!
