I am sorry for your loss of Lacey. I know how you are feeling. Last year I got Dixie and after 5 weeks we found out she had congenital kidney failure and did not make it. The breeder felt terrible as she had no idea and she said when I was ready we would talk about another one. A couple of weeks after Dixie passed she called to see how I was doing and said she had a little male that was like Dixie if I was interested. I did not want a male but she said she had a female but she was going to be bigger than Dixie. I said I didn't care as long as she was within standard, so I went to look at Roxie and she gave me money towards Dixie's vet bills and Roxie. At first I felt like I was not ready for her but she wormed her way into my heart in a very short time. Just give yourself some time to warm up to her.
