Well it's been 6 months since we've had Cherish. Her birthday is Monday and we are taking her to Chuck E Cheese this weekend. I can't help it but I'm feeling very emotional when it comes to my sister. I know she has no one to blame but herself for the situation she's in. But I can't begin to know what's been going on in her mind. I know she misses her daughter ever so badly. And hope she realizes that she is in a good home where she is being well cared, loved and spoiled. If it were some stranger I would feel so differently about it all,,, but being someone I love and care for is very hard!

Cherish has been a blast to have around. It's so cool having a little one in the house. A handfull to say the least and we are still having a bit of a hard time with the potty thing. She has her good days but still has not got it down yet. I realize that she has been through quite a bit and don't want to push her too hard. She will do it when she is ready.

She has grown so much in the times she's been here. She is going to be 3 and no longer looks like a baby. She has developed so much since she's been here. I think being around the kids helped out alot. She was an only child and had to learn to not thow fits whe she didn't get what she wanted, share, and not be a little bully when it came to other kids. She will test us from time to time but for the most part she is a good girl. We were at my moms last weekend and my mom was impressed with the way Cherish had adapted and grown.

As for my sister please pray that she does her time and comes out a changed person who will be a good mommy and will stay clear of her old ways and habits.
