I had the same problem...no credit=me getting denied on EVERY application I tried. What I ended up doing was having my mom add me as a card holder on her account and just made small purchases and paid them off in full. I would say within 6-7 months I was getting preapproved notices and now have 2 cards on my own. It helped me get my credit established
