I don't know how I feel about rescues checking veterinary history. I get why some do it, but as I've said before, that precludes all first time pet owners. Isn't the point of rescue to get pets to their forever homes? I'm pretty sure I would have been turned down for a rescue dog before I had Thor, and I got lucky with him (he belonged to an acquaintance of mine).

Anyway, I definitely want to get a rescue in six months to a year. Keep your chin up! It is a great thing you are doing, giving a dog a second chance at a wonderful home.
