Hi to everyone here. I have just now joined up and wanted to say hello. We have a male yorkie. (Jackson) He will be two in July. Just got him last summer. He had a hard time of it when he was young.
He was sent back to the breeder by the previous owner when he was little as he had something wrong with his leg. Turns out he had to have surgery and have the ball joint on his hip removed as it was either damaged or decaying. Apparantly it is something that yorkies can get.He is well now and has no restrictions at all. He loves to walk twice a day and is very lively and happy.We love him.
He has some trouble with children and is a little aggressive towards them and other dogs when we take him out.We keep him in another area while grandkids visit.We hope he might get over it someday. We think it might be something that happened to him when with the other owner.
